Architectural Membranes

Architectural Membranes

3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers can be used in fabric coatings and membrane films and offer outstanding mechanical and physical properties that are needed for modern and visionary architecture. They can also be used in film for glass window or door reinforcement or as processing additives to help improve the extrusion and durability of construction materials such as pipes and other extruded profiles.

Product Applications include coatings and films for domes, stadiums, awnings, canopies, greenhouses and more. 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE for coated glass fabrics offers excellent mechanical properties as well as acoustic absorbancy, durability and virtually "self-cleaning" properties.

3M™ Dyneon™ ETFE for architectural membranes and films offers high transparency (>90% light transmittance) as well excellent UV resistance and weather resistance.

3M™ Dyneon™ Polymer Processing Additives are used widely in extrusion processes to help improve both productivity (increase throughput, reduce cycle time) and product quality (eliminate melt fracture, reduce die lines), particularly in polyolefin extrusion processes.
