Membranes
3M™ CoTran™ Membranes
3M offers a wide variety of ethylene vinyl acetate films for use as membranes in transdermal drug delivery systems. These intact (continuous) film membranes are manufactured using a melt-cast process which allows tight caliper control and yields superior film quality. Commonly used in reservoir and multi-layer drug-in-adhesive systems, the surface textures of these films improve both web handling and bonding between the membrane and the adhesive.
The variety of CoTran™ membrane films offers a wide range of permeability and can be customized to meet your product delivery needs. These conformable films are heat-sealable and can be directly laminated to adhesives.
