Grids & Templates

The 3M Brand Identity System was developed using a very specific grid system. Grids are invisible lines, or guides, used to organize design elements including 3M montages, the 3M Red logo, body copy, headlines, photos, pull quotes, etc. within a layout, providing consistency across all communications regardless of size, orientation or format, follow the grids specific to each application.

Templates are design files with grid lines and other pre-formatted specifications used to help you design a variety of communications. Templates for literature and print advertisements are available within the Download Library.
