At 3M, print literature is used to alert, educate and persuade our many internal and external audiences worldwide. Each piece of literature offers an opportunity to reinforce brand promises while creating positive and memorable associations with our brands’ distinctive personalities. By projecting a consistent look and tone, literature can build familiarity with our brands and products.

This section describes how familiarity can be created through appropriate and consistent use of 3M identity elements in print literature, brochures, binders and folders, and newsletters. The important elements include the 3M logo placement, white background, typography, imagery, key messages, as well as standard grids and templates used by 3M.
