Superior film quality for reservoir and multi-layer drug-in-adhesive system
3M offers a wide variety of ethylene vinyl acetate membranes for use in transdermal drug delivery systems. CoTranTM controlled-caliper membranes are conformable and flexible to enhance patient comfort. These membranes have an extensive history of use, excellent safety profiles and are heat-sealable. Commonly used in reservoir and multi-layer drug-in-adhesive systems, these membranes are manufactured under cGMP conditions and provide excellent adhesive anchorage.
These intact (continuous) film membranes are manufactured using a melt-cast process which allows tight caliper control to be maintained and yields superior film quality. Specific surface textures of these membranes improve both web handling and bonding between the membrane and the adhesive. These films are offered in a range of vinyl acetate content and caliper.
