The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES)
AISES has a membership of more than 3,000 students and nurtures the building of communities by bridging science and technology with traditional native values. The organization consists of more than 100 nation-wide student chapters, and prepares American Indian students for careers in science, engineering, medicine and related disciplines. 3M is an AISES Corporate Advisory Board member. The Board, which consists of more than twenty corporate members, provides ongoing, long term support to AISES through consultation with its leaders, in-kind-services, funding, operations, and systems support, technical assistance, and career opportunities to meet the needs of its members.

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), consisting of more than 5,000 students, has more than 100 professional and student chapters in major cities across the nation. SHPE provides scholarship assistance to Hispanic students pursuing engineering degrees and professional development opportunities for its professional members. 3M is a member of the SHPE Industrial Partnership Council (IPC). IPC consists of more than 30 corporate members who provide funding and ongoing, long term support to SHPE through consultation with its leaders, in-kind services, operations and systems support, technical assistance and career opportunities to meet the needs of its members.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
NSBE is the largest student-managed organization in the country, with a membership of more than 10,000 students attending 150 nationwide colleges and universities. NSBE has more than 300 national chapters that are geographically divided into six regions across the country. NSBE encourages academic excellence, personal growth, professional development, and community awareness, all of which are focused on increasing the number of talented Black engineers. 3M is a NSBE Board of Corporate Affiliates (BCA) member. The Board consists of more than 50 members and provides funding and ongoing long term support to NSBE through consultation with its leaders, in-kind services, operations and systems support, technical assistance, and career opportunities to meet the needs of its members.

National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME)
NACME, supported by more than 200 public and private donors, is a national leader in the effort to expand engineering career access for African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students. NACME conducts research, provides scholarships and grants, develops and operates model intervention programs, publishes original educational materials, and promotes public policy that advances its mission. NACME has funded the undergraduate education of more than 5,000 African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian engineering students. 3M is a major NACME supporter, and a member of both the NACME Board of Directors, and the Management Advisory Committee. The Board and the Committee provide ongoing funding, and long term support of NACME through consultation with its leaders, in-kind services, operations and systems support, technical assistance and career opportunities to meet the needs of members and students.

The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE)
NOBCChE develops and administer programs to assist Black professionals in realizing their full potential in chemistry and chemical engineering. The organization is committed to building an eminent community of scientists and engineers. NOBCChE's objectives include: (1) recruitment and retention of Black students in science-related university programs, (2) continued professional development of Black scientists, and (3) community involvement of Black professionals to provide essential role models within the Black community. NOBCChE's membership includes twenty professionals and more than 30 student chapters nationwide. 3M is a corporate sponsor of NOBCChE's annual conference which is the major highlight of all NOBCChE activities.

The National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science Inc. (GEM)
GEM is a jointly sponsored membership consortium of more than 75 American universities and approximately 80 nationwide corporations. GEM is committed to increasing the participation and the graduation of African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students at the Master and Ph.D. levels. GEM accomplishes its mission by offering graduate fellowships to students through three fellowship programs: (1) The M.S. Engineering Fellowship, (2) The Ph.D. Engineering Fellowship, and (3) the Ph.D. Science Fellowship. 3M is a corporate sponsor and a member of the GEM Board of Directors. The Board provides ongoing, long term support of GEM through consultation with its leaders, in-kind services, funding, technical assistance and career opportunities to meet the needs of its members.

Leadership Education and Development Program (LEAD)
The LEAD Program is a partnership between more than 100 major corporations and eleven of America's leading Schools of Business Management. The Program identifies the nation's brightest African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian high school seniors and introduces them to the various disciplines and career opportunities that are available in the corporate business community. The Business Institute is the highlight of all LEAD activities, in which more than 300 LEAD students participate in and gain exposure to the business and industrial environment through classroom lectures, films, periodicals, case studies, panel discussions and field trips to sponsoring corporations. 3M is a LEAD Program contributor.

The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management
The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is an alliance of leading American business schools and more than 50 of our country's top corporations. The organization is committed to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to increase the number of African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students in both its member schools and the ranks of management. Since 1967, more than 2,400 African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian men and women have received MBA degrees through the Consortium Program. 3M is both a major corporate sponsor, and a member of the Consortium's Corporate Advisory Board. The Board provides ongoing long term support of the Consortium through consultation with its leaders, in-kind services, funding, technical assistance and career opportunities to meet the needs of its members.

The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA)
The National Black MBA Association is a business organization, consisting of more than 4,000 members and 39 chapters across the country. Since its beginning in 1972, NBMBAA continues to operate as a business organization that provides leadership in the creation of economic and intellectual wealth for the Black community. 3M is a corporate sponsor of both the local Twin Cities chapter and at the national corporate level. The Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference (BEYA)
The Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference is co-sponsored by the Council of Engineering Deans of the following ten Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Morgan State, Hampton, Tuskegee, Southern, Prairie View A&M, Florida A&M, Howard, Tennessee State, North Carolina A&T, and Alabama A&M. BEYA recognizes and presents special achievement awards to American Black professionals in science, engineering, and technology. The event is also an important forum for students, professional engineers, and industry/government representatives to meet for the purpose of strengthening the national Black engineering community. BEYA is the highlight of the Council of Engineering Deans' Program activities, and 3M is a Platinum Partner of the event.

The National Society of Hispanic MBA's consists of 29 nationwide chapters, and more than 6,000 members. The Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC)
The Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference recognizes and presents special achievement awards to Hispanic science, engineering and technology professionals. This conference is also an important forum for students, professionals, engineers and industry/government representatives to meet for the purpose of strengthening the national Hispanic technological community. The Conference highlights the achievements of Hispanics in engineering, science, technology and math to motivate and educate more students to pursue careers in the technical community. 3M is a major HENNAAC sponsor.

The National Sales Network (NSN)
The National Sales Network maintains and supports programs that assist African American sales professionals in fully realizing their academic and professional potential. The NSN professional chapters are located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, Washington/Baltimore and Philadelphia. 3M is a corporate sponsor at both the local Minnesota/St Paul and the national level.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is an educational service organization of more than 17,000 members dedicated to supporting and encouraging women to pursue careers in engineering and related technical and scientific fields. The American Chemical Society Scholars Program (ACS Scholars Program)
The American Chemical Society is a self-governed individual membership organization consisting of more than 158,000 members at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry. The Society sponsors scholarship programs for qualified applicants who enter the field of chemistry biochemistry, or chemical engineering, and to students seeking a two-year degree in chemical technology. The Scholars Program is designed to encourage African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students to pursue undergraduate college degrees in the chemical sciences, and chemical technology. 3M is a major Scholars Program sponsor and provides funding support to strengthen our recruiting presence in the chemistry and chemical engineering community.
