Announcing New 3M™ RFID Tag Solutions to Meet the Unique Cost and Performance Needs of Different Libraries
Basic RFID Tag
Our customers have been asking for this tag, and it's now available. Our most cost effective and price conscious tag, the Basic RFID Tag works with all 3M™ RFID System components currently being sold. It meets minimum system specifications at 256 bits of memory - AND it's ISO compliant. This lower cost tag offers less memory than our standard D7 tag(which offers 2048 bits), but has most of the other standard features of the D7 tag:
- Identifies and tracks materials
- ISO 15693-3 and 18000-3 Mode 1 Compliant
- Stores security information
- Simplifies sorting and inventory
- Is rewritable; information can be changed and updated
- Memory chip stores item information
- No line of site required
- Quickly identifies items
The Basic RFID Tag is available with these options:
- Custom Printing - one color random print.
- Punched tags - to mark those that are inoperative.
- Opaque black flood coat - to hide the antenna

In many cases, you can upgrade your current equipment to read any of the 3M ISO RFID tags.
