Vikuiti™ Dual Brightness Enhancement Film Diffuse 400 (DBEF-D400)
Designed to increase brightness over an LCD's entire viewing range, Vikuiti™ Dual Brightness Enhancement Film (DBEF) is a thin, multi-layer reflective polarizer that effectively recycles light, maximizing the brightness of liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Vikuiti™ Dual Brightness Enhancement Film - Diffuse 400 (DBEF-D400) film helps to manage light in three ways: angle, reflection, and polarization. Through polarization recycling the Vikuiti™ DBEF-D film reflects the P2 light back into the backlight where it is scrambled into P1 and P2. Vikuiti™ DBEF-D400 film is a diffuse reflective polarizer film that boosts display brightness up to 60% over the entire viewing range (as compared to displays without film.) In addition, LCDs using Vikuiti™ DBEF-D400 film need fewer bulbs and are between 20-30% more energy efficient.

3M™ Light Pipe Systems
3M™ Light Pipe Systems contain a 3M™ Optical Lighting Film, a microstructured prismatic film that is highly reflective and able to efficiently transport light up to 65 feet (20 meters) from a single point light source. 3M™ Light Pipe Systems help reduce energy consumption and operating cost and isolate heat, UV and electrical power. In addition, they increase visual comfort and improve visual performance by reducing shadowing and glare.

3M™ Office Air Cleaners
3M™ Office Air Cleaners have a sound-absorbing cushion to deliver ultra-quiet operation, while the multi-stage cleaning system traps micro particles as small as .01 microns. Unlike some HEPA filters, the Filtrete™ filter from 3M does not support fungal growth and has no fiberglass that can shed into air. Innovative technology with low power consumption, needs no periodic maintenance and produces no ozone. 3M™ Office Air Cleaners use Filtrete™ Filters manufactured by 3M. When tested against HEPA filters, a HEPA filter can take up to four times more energy to push air through the filter. In addition 3M™ Office Air Cleaners have an ionization feature that enhances the performance up to an additional 25%.

3M™ Glare Reducing Task Light
The 3M™ Glare Reducing Task Light's attractive designs fit into any office environment. It reduces reflective and veiling glare 50-80% on reading materials and work surfaces at viewing angles of 30-60 degrees. The task light also delivers a broad area, uniform, low-glare light. The energy-efficient 27W fluorescent lamp produces the illumination of a 150W incandescent lamp and lasts up to 10,000 user hours.

Scotch® Super 88 Vinyl Electrical Tape
Scotch® Super 88 Premium Vinyl Electrical Tape offers better mechanical/abrasion resistance and is thicker for quicker build-up. For professional use, this tape combines the flexibility of a PVC backing with excellent electrical insulating properties to provide primary electrical insulation for splices up to 600V and protective jacketing. This tape is lead free, UL Listed, and CSA Certified. It has excellent resistance to UV rays, abrasion, moisture, copper corrosion, alkalis and acids and excellent all-weather performance in cold to 0°F (-18°C) or heat to 220°F (105°C).

CFC-Free Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI)
In 1995, 3M launched Airomir™ (salbutamol sulphate inhaler)-the world's first CFC-free MDI for asthma therapy. The result was an inhaler that offered patients an environmentally improved MDI containing salbutamol, the most commonly used inhalation drug in the world today. Testing confirmed that the reformulated salbutamol in HFA-134a not only provided efficacy and safety comparable to the CFC-salbutamol formulation, but did so with additional benefits including:
- a reliable and consistent dose, regardless of storage orientation
- a mist-like spray with reduced spray force
- a greatly improved “tail-off” profile, which means patients receive a predictable and effective dose even when the MDI canister is nearly empty
- less variable dose delivery at colder temperatures than CFC albuterol MDIs

3M™ Aluminum Matrix Composite Technology (ACCR)
Growing demand for power often times will place the needs of the environment opposite the needs of the consumer. Taller, more unsightly towers, the need to cut larger right-of-ways, more power generation to compensate for resistive losses and the need to use more renewable energy sources which may be located in remote areas, are just a few of the issues surrounding the environment and the transmission grid today. By using ACCR for line upgrades or new construction in visually sensitive areas, a utility may be able to minimize the environmental impact of a particular transmission line using the existing right-of-way and towers. Because of the increased strength and reduced sag of 3M's ACCR cable, the need to raise or rebuild towers is significantly reduced; likewise, the same properties allow for fewer towers on new construction projects.

The 3M™ Twist 'n Fill™ System provides managed chemical dispensing in a compact, space-saving system to bring costs under control while providing safer, more consistent products that provide top performance. Five 3M™ Twist 'n Fill™ Products have been Green Seal certified. Based on the requirements of Executive Order 13101, which directs federal agencies to purchase more environmentally preferable goods and services, 3M has completed certification from Green Seal, a nationally recognized not-for-profit environmental organization. Certification makes it easier for our customers at: Federal, State, Local and Health Care Facilities, as well as their janitorial service providers, to demonstrate that they meet their environmentally preferable requirements. Currently Green Seal certifies three Cleaning Product Categories: Bathroom, General Purpose and Glass.
