05.26.06 - Dyneon Appoints Robert M. Moore as Business Director, Dyneon Fluoroelastomers and Specialty Additives
OAKDALE, Minn. (May 22, 2006) – Dyneon LLC, a 3M company and a world leader in fluoropolymer development and production, announces the appointment of Robert M. Moore as Business Director, Dyneon Fluoroelastomers and Specialty Additives.
In his new role, Moore will provide strategic leadership on a global basis to meet the financial objectives of the firm’s fluoroelastomer and specialty additives business units, which includes the Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer product family and the Dynamar™ Polymer Processing Additives product lines.
“Our position in these businesses is strong, and we expect continued growth,” said Moore. “In the near term Dyneon will be introducing more efficient polymer processing aids for in mLLDPE, LLDPE and HDPE resins, as well as a new line of more robust polymer additives which impart more efficient anti-drip and flame retardancy properties to engineering resins. Dyneon will also be introducing new, improved grades of perfluorinated elastomers with improved chemical resistance and high temperature performance.”
Moore joined Dyneon in 1996, when the company was formed through a 3M and Hoechst AG joint venture. Before joining Dyneon, Moore held management positions within Hoechst Celanese Company, Harte-Hanks Communications, Inc. and the Chicago Tribune Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Loyola University, Chicago. In his new role, Moore remains at the company’s headquarters in Oakdale, Minn., reporting to Bill Myers, Dyneon’s President and General Manager.
