Oakdale, Minn. – (April 25, 2003) Dyneon, one of the world’s leading fluoropolymer producers, is now offering a complimentary, easy-to-use, multimedia CD-ROM as its latest informational tool, allowing customers to access all the product specifications they need to help find the most effective Dyneon solutions to their individual business needs. “Discover the World of Dyneon” is divided into four sections and takes users on a comprehensive tour through the world of Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers and their extensive uses across many industries. Additionally, the highly interactive CD gives users the option to explore product applications relevant to their requirements.
Each of the four segments – Products, Applications, Industries and Company – works together to create an in-depth package of resources that customers will find indispensable. The “Products” segment gives customers direct access to product information about Dyneon’s wide range of fluoroelastomer, PTFE, custom PTFE compound, fluorothermoplastic and specialty additive products. Product groups are broken down into individual products, and with the click of a mouse, their properties are displayed for customers to distinguish their product needs simply and effectively.
The “Applications” channel of the CD-ROM employs 3D digital animation to demonstrate Dyneon™ products in action, giving users an inside look at the benefits of Dyneon products in specific applications. For example, users travel through the entire blown film process and can see how adding Dynamar™ Polymer Processing Additives helps control die build-up, eliminate melt fracture, decrease friction and may increase output. Customers can also specify requirements of their applications, such as sealing or coatings, to view a selection of possible product solutions they may wish to evaluate.
Similarly, the “Industries” portion links customers directly to the most effective products for them when they click on the corresponding industry, from automotive, semiconductors and architectural, to wire and cable. Featuring a wealth of industry-related photos, this section provides visitors graphic illustrations of products in use.
Finally, the “Company” section includes a graphic timeline of significant events in the 50-year history of fluoropolymers. Paired with noteworthy pop culture events, a time association is created for users to better understand the evolution of the products and their applications.
