We purchased our 3M film to help with fade reduction and for energy savings. Our home in Tampa, Florida is a one-story open floor plan with a 20 foot ceiling in the family room; with several large windows on both the east and west sides. Our 3M film was installed about two months ago and we can already tell a huge difference in our electric bill and the amount of sunlight coming into the rooms. We highly recommend this product and wish we had done this years ago!

We got the protection for our windows to guard against hurricane damage, and because we live on a golf course. We have not had any hurricanes since the application - that's a good thing - but we did have a golf ball hit and break our bedroom window. The window did break, but the glass stayed intact. No broken glass in our bedroom - that's a good thing as well!!! We replaced the glass and also had the 3M window Film installed as well. I am very happy with this product.

With challanging economic times, I wanted to improve the security of my home and the safety of my family against the risk of break-ins and burglary. Also, we have been have heavy winds the past two years and our home is surround by some large trees. This product offers greater protection against flying debris and branches. I chose the Ultra400 for the first floor windows as a way to discourage criminals. Also, I was able to use a darker tint on the South and West windows to reduce glare and heat while using a lesser tint on the East and North side and I would think that there will be some energy savings as well. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the number of ways that this product helps with a number of concerns that I have.
