Architectural panels with a perimeter frame attached only with 3M™ VHB™ Tapes were subjected to water leakage tests. The results indicated that with proper tape application that the 3M™ VHB™ Tapes can provide an excellent seal against water penetration (note liquid sealant at corner seams is often suggested where the tape bond is not continuous)
Tested at Construction Research Laboratory (Miami, FL) according to ASTM E331 Standard Test Method for Water Penetration of Exterior Windows, Skylights, Doors, and Curtain Walls by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference.
