 Las Vegas, NV—September 17, 2002—3M Touch Systems announces today its MicroTouch™ EX II-based Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller. It will be displayed this week at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas and will be available in November 2002.
The USB electronics controller supports the MicroTouch ClearTek™ capacitive product line and is based on the EX II electronics platform announced by 3M earlier this year. It supports the popular USB feature set of plug-and-play capability, simplifying the integration of touch. The USB controller takes advantage of the rich feature set of EX II (fast and accurate touch, extended temperatures, and firmware download capability), as well as maintains the same form, fit and function as former USB controllers from
3M Touch Systems.
