3M Touch Exhibits at Digital Signage Expo 2010

When this premier digital signage event convened in Las Vegas in late-February, 3M Touch Systems was on hand to introduce this audience of interactive signage professionals to its latest touch offerings. Headlining the marquee was the 3M Display M2256PW, 3M's new 22-inch, 10+ finger multi-touch display. "Wow" was the word from attendees as they glimpsed the future of touch displays. Whether their needs were multi-touch or multi-user, this new product offered them a next-generation user interface that could help differentiate their digital signage solutions. Also on exhibit were 3M Dispersive Signal Technology (3M DST) enabled displays, the touch technology that is fast becoming the standard for interactive digital signage in the 32" to 46" display range due to its fast and reliable touch performance.

3M Releases Gestures API for 3M SCT and 3M DST Products

For 3M customers using 3M Surface Capacitive Technology (3M SCT) and 3M Dispersive Signal Technology (3M DST), a MT7 Gestures API (application programming interface) is now available that enables standard and customized gesture recognition, as well as a programmable "radial menu" feature that allows developers to enhance their user interface with intuitive touch features, such as scaling and rotating.
