The cursor does not respond after installing TouchWare for my monitor with a USB touch connection
This typically occurs when you connect the USB cable before installing TouchWare or if the incorrect controller option is selected. Perform the following steps to correct this problem:
- Disconnect the touch USB cable from the computer.
- Uninstall TouchWare using the TouchWare uninstall utility. To do this click on Start > All Programs > TouchWare > Uninstall TouchWare.
- Restart your computer
- Install the TouchWare software. Make sure you select USB on the Controller Selection page, the default is Serial.
After the installation finishes, connect the USB cable to a USB port on your computer. Windows must recognize that the new hardware is connected and will load the device. If this is successful, you will be prompted to calibrate the touch screen.
TouchWare exists for legacy operating systems only – for current operating systems, use MT 7 touch software. We recommend that customers use the latest version of our touch driver unless they have older technology or a business requirement to use our TouchWare driver. Our current driver is MT 7 and the latest version of MT 7 can be downloaded from the Touch Drivers page.
