Q: What types of carpets can I use this on?
A: When used as directed, this product is safe for all types of colorfast carpets including wool, nylon & stain-resistant carpets. Q: Will my carpet stiffen from using this product?
A: No. There is no sticky residue left behind from this product so your carpet will remain soft and plush. This also prevents dirt from sticking to this area and causing resoiling. Occasionally, over application of Scotchgard cleaners may cause treated articles to stiffen. Simply vacuum the affected areas and the carpet will return to its normal feel again. Q: Can I use this product on oriental rugs?
A: We do not recommend this product for use on oriental rugs. We have found the variability between manufacturers and the occasional use of food dyes can produce unusual and unpredictable results. Q: Is this product safe to use on wool rugs?
A: The product is safe for use on wool rugs that can be cleaned with water. (Some may have a "cleanabilty code" – where "W" or "WS" would indicate it is safe to be cleaned with water.) If it says, "Dry Clean Only," then we would not recommend using this product. Always check for colorfastness first by testing in an inconspicuous area. Q: What types of stains can I use this product on?
