Our pioneering work with 3M Microballoons™ revolutionized the way fly lines float, and we continue to use this breakthrough technology in all of our floating fly lines. We also employ advanced hydrophobic agents that help repel water and increase floatation, which is further enhanced by the way we entrap air inside the fly line core. AST – Advanced Shooting Technology – is 3M's patented dry-slick coating that prevents dirt and algae from clinging to the line, which allows our fly lines to stay cleaner and float higher for longer intervals.
