Clinical Condition:
Cosmetic/reconstructive surgery is done for the sake of appearance. Several studies have shown that once the technique of applying adhesive wound closure strips is mastered, it is more cost effective and the cosmetic results are superior to other skin closure methods. Use adhesive wound closure strips following early suture/staple removal (as early as 24 hours) when further wound support is needed and/or to prevent scar widening. |
