Clinical Condition:
Epidural Catheter: A flexible catheter inserted percutaneously into the epidural space, located between the wall of the vertebral canal and the dura mater, of the spinal column. The tip of the catheter is placed in the epidural space as close to the spinal level requiring analgesia or anesthesia as appropriate. For longer term therapy, the catheter may be tunneled or totally implanted under the skin. |
