3M Package Engineering is rolling out a new documentation system for packaging specifications, standards and reference documents. IPM (Integrated Packaging Management) is a proprietary 3M application that provides a one-stop shop for all packaging documentation and data.

Current users of packaging specifications and standards may begin to see changes in the appearance and formatting of documents beginning October 23, 2006.

The manner in which you receive packaging documents will not change.

Roll-out of IPM will occur over several months, so changes will occur over time as documents are revised or created new in IPM.

Questions regarding the content of the documents should be directed to the Package Engineer listed on the document(s) provided to you.
Corporate General Specifications will incur a name change as part of the move to IPM.
Please note: Some Reference Documents may have been updated at time of migration into IPM. Review the change record within each Reference Document for the most up-to-date information.
