3M™ Glass Bubbles XLD6000


3M™ Glass Bubbles XLD6000 have a density of 0.30 g/cc and an isostatic crush strength of 6000 psi. These glass bubbles provide significantly lower density for better thermal conductivity at a given depth rating.
These composites can be coated or incorporated into deep sea oil pipelines to improve the flow assurance properties of the system. The high strength of XLD6000 glass bubbles can withstand both the high processing pressure of polymer extrusion and the pressure of seawater in many applications. Like all 3M glass bubbles, XLD6000 glass bubbles are virtually insoluble in water or oil.
