History of 3M New Ulm

3M began operations in New Ulm when it purchased a 33,000 sq. ft. building on 60 acres in 1962. The first production line at this site made electrical connectors.

Over the years we have constructed several additions to the facility and product lines have come and gone. Some of the products with a history in New Ulm (but no longer produced here) include duplicating products, medical MRI imagers, medical bone saws and infusion pumps, and audio and video tape recorders.
