Nevada Life

Originally founded as Nevada City in the 1850’s, it burned to the ground during the Civil War in 1863. Officially incorporated in 1869, Nevada is the county seat of Vernon County, Missouri, and home to 8,600 residents. Our community is small enough to maintain the “home-town” feeling where neighbors are friends. Yet, residents have easy access to a broad range of shopping, educational, and recreational opportunities.
