Inventory Management System Overview (IMS)

3M's Inventory Management System software application supports tracking of unique inventory items allowing central warehouse manager to track and control inventory at remote locations by plate type. IMS empowers the warehouse manager to exercise industry standard controls over inventory on hand and orders for the life of the controlled item, reducing overstock and out of stock issues. 3M IMS minimizes the amount of product inventory in the supply chain through robust management reporting features. Substantial efficiencies are gains when combined with 3M Vehicle Information System.

Key Functions:

• Manage inventory Quantities – view/search inventory quantities by location, drill down to detail of inventory items
• Control inventory Items – view/search inventory items
• Remove inventory items with a status of 'Mailed to Motorist' by Package ID *
• View plate quantities at each location (view plate messages)
• Remove Inventory by Package ID *
• Remove Inventory by Item (cannot locate removing inventory by product)
