This modular lighting system features 3M™ Custom Formed Reflectors which are coupled with transparent polycarbonate and DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes, then thermoformed. This suspended luminary made with 7 identical modules are mounted alternatively upward and downward. On the convex side of each module is visible an iridescent stripe, create by a small percentage of light that passes through the uncovered reflecting layer. The convex side can be finished with any 3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes pattern of the 500 available.

The marketing offices of a Chicago manufacturing company are to be housed in a two-story factory building constructed in the 1950's. The architect wants to keep the raw, industrial look of the place, combining it with high-tech equipment and furniture to create a nice visual contrast.
She doesn't want to cover the reinforced concrete beams on the ceiling with anything false, so she's looking for an efficient, sustainable free-standing lighting system without wires.
Fortunately, she knows that 3M Architectural Markets has developed a system for conveying sunlight into the core parts of a building. She plans to place a series of sun collectors on the roof and – via 3M's light ducts – bring sunlight to the ground floor, where the intrinsic properties of natural light will improve employee productivity.
3M Architectural Markets also provides:
Light Path Concept, a new modular office lighting concept that diffuses artificial light to provide the same qualities as sunlight
3M™ Wall Panel System featuring DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes that help the architect differentiate various office areas (executive offices, work areas, boardroom, etc.)
3M™ DI-NOC™ PWF-500™ Projection Whiteboard Finish that provides functional, yet tasteful, solutions for office presentations and visual aids
DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes especially suited for refurbishment of existing construction
