3M™ Digital Projector Limited Warranty

This product will be free from defects in material and manufacture for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, subject to the following limitations. The following are exclusions to the above listed warranty or are subject to a different warranty as set forth below:

  1. Warranty for lamps that are included in 3M projectors as original equipment is for parts only and is effective for a period of 90 days after the date of purchase of the projector or 180 hours of lamp usage, whichever occurs first.


  2.  
    1. For all 3M Digitial Projectors excluding the 3M Digital Projector DX70:
      The warranty period for the LCD panels (including polarizers and excluding lamps) is either 3 years from the date of purchase of the projector or 2500 hours of projector usage, whichever occurs first. If within 3 years from date of purchase of the projector, the LCD panel requires replacement and is otherwise eligible for warranty coverage, but the projector has exceeded 2500 hours of usage, the 3M warranty will cover the cost of labor, but not the cost of parts that require replacement. This warranty is effective for all projectors launched prior to July 1, 2007.
    2. For the 3M Digital Projector DX70, X66, X64, X64W and other projectors launched after July 1, 2007:
      The warranty period for all parts (excluding lamps) is either 3 years from the date of purchase of the projector or 2500 hours of projector usage, whichever occurs first. If within 3 years from date of purchase of the projector, the 3M DX70 requires replacement and is otherwise eligible for warranty coverage, but the projector has exceeded 2500 hours of usage, the 3M warranty will cover the cost of labor, but not the cost of parts that require replacement.
  3. The warranty will be void if you repair or modify the 3M Digital Projector or you otherwise damaged the product due to misuse, neglect, mishandling or other abuse.

3M High Usage Warranty Upgrade for Digital Projector DX70. For the continental U.S.

This product will be free from defects in material and manufacture for a period of three years from the date of purchase, regardless of the hours of usage during that three year term. 3M MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES or CONDITIONS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If this product is defective within the warranty period stated above, your exclusive remedy shall be, at 3M’s option, to replace or repair the 3M product or to refund the purchase price of the 3M product. All replaced parts or products become property of 3M. If the product is repaired, 3M will repair the defective part(s) with a new or used part(s). If the product is replaced, 3M will replace the product with the same or equivalent model and with a new or refurbished product. The replacement product carries the original equipment warranty.

Except where prohibited by law, 3M will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from this 3M product, regardless of the legal theory asserted. Please see the following warranty limitations and exclusions.

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions

The following limitations and exclusions apply to the above mentioned limited warranty:

  1. The above warranty is limited to the 3M DX70 Digital Projector and excludes the lamp and accessories.
  2. The original lamp has the following limited warranty: 90 days from the date of purchase or 180 hours of lamp use, whichever occurs first.
  3. 3M Digital Projectors are designed to operate in the typical indoor environment. The product Limited Warranty is void if used outside of the following circumstances:


    • 100V-240V AC, 50/60 Hz
    • 16° to 29° C (60° to 85° F)
    • 10-80% RH (without condensation)
    • 0-1828m (0-6000 feet) above sea level
  4. The Air Intake and Exhaust Vent must be clear of obstructions, including any potential blockage or obstructions caused from a ceiling or other mount. Inadequate air ventilation will cause the projector to malfunction or will cause damage to the projector which will void the warranty.
  5. The Warranty will be void if someone other than 3M (or a 3M Authorized Service Provider) repairs or modifies the 3M product.
  6. The Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect, mishandling, abuse, or normal wear and tear.
  7. The Warranty does not cover any additional costs including, but not limited to, those associated with removal, cleaning or installation of the product, adjustments, (mechanical or electronic), made to the product or replacing customer replaceable parts like lamps and air filters.
  8. The Warranty does not cover shipping charges incurred when returning the product to 3M for repair.

For warranty support, please call or write your local 3M office or a 3M Authorized Service Provider to obtain an RMA # (Return Material Authorization Number) before returning the product.
