3M face plates are designed to resist chunking, reduce edge wear and prolong abrasive disc life.

Hard-black is for heavy metal removal such as large welds. Medium-gray provides normal flexibility for general purpose grinding and finishing. Soft-white is used in finishing operations and contour grinding.
