Strips of fabric containing hundreds of hooks or loops mate together with light finger pressure. Simply pull the strips apart by hand to unfasten. They can be ultrasonically welded to nylons or polyesters or sewn to a variety of substrates.
The hook strip is covered with tiny, stiff hooks, about 300 hooks per square inch (46/ sq cm). The loop strip is covered with thousands of matching soft, pliable loops.
