3M to Demonstrate Its Comprehensive Static Management Program at IPC APEX 2013
SAN DIEGO - IPC APEX EXPO – Feb. 19, 2013 - The 3M Electronic Solutions Division will demonstrate its industry-leading 3M Static Management Program (SMP) at booth 1607 at the IPC APEX Expo, taking place Feb. 19-21 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The Static Management Program from 3M is designed to help electronics manufacturers improve yields by monitoring and detecting electrical overstress (EOS) and electrostatic discharge (ESD), which may help minimize costs associated with failures. The end-to-end system provides real-time EOS/ESD detection and data collection for all production areas simultaneously.
The program's continuous remote monitoring capability permits staff to observe EOS/ESD activity factory-wide from almost anywhere – the office, home or halfway around the world. Continuous remote monitoring allows personnel to react quickly when unacceptable levels are reached, and to identify and correct the underlying cause.
