ALCF-P ABR0/ABR2 are microreplicated films that control the amount of light that passes through the film at high angles. At small angles, close to perpendicular to the surface of the privacy filter, the majority of the incident light is transmitted through the privacy filter. At angles outside of the 60 degree viewing angle, light is absorbed by the black louvers providing the user with privacy.
