Rapid Readout Biological Indicators and Test Packs that monitor the effectiveness of the EO sterilization process and provide results within 4 hours. Use with 3M™ Attest™ Auto-reader 290G.

Biological indicators provide the best assurance of sterility by challenging the sterilizer with quantifiable, highly resistant spores. The system includes rapid readout biological indicators, disposable test packs, auto-readers and record keeping. Biological indicators are used for load control monitoring, which is the process by which a load is monitored and released based on the result of a biological indicator (BI).

3M™ Attest™ 1294 Rapid Readout Biological Indicator for EO

The 3M™ Attest™ 1294 Rapid Readout Biological Indidcator for Ethylene Oxide contains a standardized, viable population of Bacillus atrophaeus spores. The 3M™ Attest™ 1294 Rapid Readout Biological Indicator indicates sublethal processing by providing a fluorescent readout after 4 hours of incubation. The visual color change readout is the same readout method utilized in other self-contained biological indicators.

3M™ Attest™ 1298 or 1298F EO Test Pack

A pre-assembled, EO plastic disposable test pack with a 3M™ Attest™ 1294 biological indicator at the end of a challenging path. The pack is used to monitor all EO cycles. The pack is designed to present a resistant challenge to the EO sterilization process similar to the AAMI routine syringe test pack.
