3M™ Comply™ Instrument Protectors

Designed for inserting into peel pouches, they reduce the potential of pouch puncture, protect the instrument in an open position to permit complete penetration of sterilant, and provide visual assurance that it was exposed to the sterilization process.

3M™ Comply™ 13911, 13913, and 13915 Instrument Protectors are rigid paperboard with clear 2 mil plastic pouches that hold instruments in an unlocked, open position so the sterilant can contact all surfaces during sterilization, protect sharp-pointed surgical instruments from damage, and reduce the chance of peel-pouch puncture during sterilization. Dual chemical indicator bars (Class I process indicators) are printed on paper for steam and EO sterilization monitoring. The steam chemical indicator turns from blue to gray/black and EO chemical indicator turns from yellow to rust/red. The protector is placed into a peel pouch. The chemical indicator is used for both exposure control monitoring (external chemical indicator) and pack control monitoring (internal chemical indicator).
