Chemical monitors that indicate if a glutaraldehyde solution meets the manufacturer's recommendation for a minimum effective concentration (MEC) needed to effectively kill organisms.

Glutaraldehyde chemical monitors are used for equipment control as a way to find out whether or not the glutaraldehyde solution is doing its job or is at the minimum concentration (MEC) needed to effectively kill organisms. Glutaraldehyde solution should be tested prior to immersing medical devices into the solution to ensure that the solution is at its MEC.

3M™ Comply™ 3983MM Glutaraldehyde Monitors

A dip stick type monitor with a chemical indicator pad that changes from white to yellow in the presence of a >1.5% minimum effective concentration (MEC) of glutaraldehyde. If the pad stays white, the glutaraldehyde solution must be discarded. If the pad is yellow, the solution may be used/reused.

3M™ Comply™ 3987 Glutaraldehyde Monitors

A dip stick type monitor with a chemical indicator pad that changes from white to yellow in the presence of a >1.8% minimum effective concentration (MEC) of glutaraldehyde. If the pad stays white, the glutaraldehyde solution must be discarded. If the pad is yellow, the solution may be used/reused.

3M™ Comply™ 3989 Glutaraldehyde Monitors

A dip stick type monitor with a chemical indicator pad that changes from white to yellow in the presence of a >2.1% minimum effective concentration (MEC) of glutaraldehyde. If the pad stays white, the glutaraldehyde solution must be discarded. If the pad is yellow, the solution may be used/reused.
