These test packs present a challenging situation within the sterilizer to monitor its performance. A sophisticated Class 5 integrating chemical indicator inside a porous PCD pack shows that effective sterilant penetration has occurred.

The chemical integrators inside these test packs are Class 5 integrating indicators. 3M™ Comply™ Steam and EO Chemical Integrators can also be used as the process challenge device (PCD) to release processed items, excluding implants (load control), however, their use does not replace the use of biological indicators in PCDs.

The 3M™ Comply™ Steam Chemical Integrator Test Pack consists of a 3M™ Comply™ Steam Chemical Integrator inside a porous substrate contained in a moisture impervious disposable wrap. The 3M™ Comply™ EO Chemical Integrator Test Pack consists of a Comply EO Chemical Integrator inside a syringe barrel along with moisture absorbent material. The barrel is enclosed with thermal insulating material and sealed inside a peel pouch.

  • For steam sterilization a dark color should enter the accept window.
  • Use Comply™ EO chemical integrator test pack for EO/HCFC gas mixture sterilization process.
  • For EO sterilization a blue color should enter the accept window.
