3M™ High Fluid Resistant Procedure Mask

Available with or without a face shield, these high fluid resistant earloop procedure masks pass ASTM’s highest level of protection (160 mmHg). They are appropriate for procedures where there is concern about potential exposure to blood and body fluids.

The earloop design makes the mask easy to put on and quick to take off. It incorporates bi-directional pleats for increased wearer comfort. It is also available with a face shield and black anti-fog strip (Catalog No. 1840FS).

Benefits

  • Earloop design allows you to slip on and remove mask quickly and easily.
  • Fluid resistant to help reduce potential exposure of the wearer to blood and body fluids.
  • The 1840FS incorporates an anti-fog face shield and black anti-glare strip.
  • Filtration efficiency: BFE{1} = >99%, PFE{2} = >99%.
  • Hypoallergenic to reduce chance of allergic reaction.
  • Non-fiberglass.

{1} - Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) determined by in vitro test method.
{2} - Particle Challenge Study - measures filter efficiency only against mass median aerodynamic diameter particle. Surgical mask tests were conducted by an independent laboratory following a 3M internal protocol and using a 0.1 micron latex sphere at a flow rate of 28.3 liters per minute. PFE test results are provided for comparing performance of surgical masks under similar laboratory conditions. This does not reflect expected levels of filtration efficiency in actual use conditions nor replace the need to use NIOSH certified respirators if exposed to hazardous airborne contaminants.
