3M™ Battery Pack 520-01-15R01, Black, NiCd

3M is announcing the immediate discontinuation and obsolescence of the 3M™ Battery Pack 520-01-15R01, Black, NiCd. This battery is replaced by the new 3M™ Battery Pack BP-15, NiMH which can only be charged with the new 3M™ Smart Battery Charger BC-210.

3M™ Air Crown Headgear Assembly Products

3M is announcing the immediate discontinuation and obsolescence of the following 3M™ Air Crown Headgear products because the resin used to manufacture them is no longer available.

• 3M™ Air Crown Headgear Assembly 520-03-99R01
• 3M™ Base Assembly 030-01-09R01
• 3M™ Brow Guard Assembly 030-05-01R01

All other replacement parts and accessories for the Air Crown Headgear will be available until December 2006. There is no direct replacement available for the discontinued parts. Depending upon the application, the most suitable products are as follows:

• 3M™ General Purpose Headgear Assembly 520-01-83R01
• 3M™ Head Cover BE-12-3, White, Tychem® QC (Formally 522-02-00R03)
• 3M™ Head Cover BE-12L-3, White, Large, Tychem® QC (Formally 522-02-01R03)

All of these products are approved for use with the 3M™ Breathe Easy™ Belt-Mounted Turbo Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

3M™ Whitecap™ Abrasive Blasting Helmet Assembly W-8100

3M is no longer able to source the 3M™ Whitecap™ Abrasive Blasting Helmet Assembly W-8100, White, and is announcing this product's discontinuation effective May 1, 2005. It is recommended that the 3M™ Whitecap™ Abrasive Blasting Helmet Assembly W-8100B, Black, be a direct replacement of the 3M™ Whitecap™ Abrasive Blasting Helmet Assembly W-8100, White.
