Product Label Change Notification: 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series and 3M™ Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Respirators 5000 Series In the past, 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series with acid gas approvals were limited to escape only protection from atmospheres containing hydrogen sulfide gas above current occupational exposure
levels. Testing has shown these cartridges to be very effective at removing hydrogen sulfide gas. Due to this capability, NIOSH has granted 3M approval to remove the escape only limitation for hydrogen sulfide protection on all 3M 6000 Series cartridges with the acid gas approval. No change has been made to the cartridges with the exception of the removal of the escape only limitation from the product label.
