3M™ Clinical Claims Editor Software for z/OS™ Mainframes
Evaluate claims for coding errors
The 3M Clinical Claims Editor (3M CCE) is a computerized patient record processing system designed for payers or other users who want to process large volumes of claims. The functions of the 3M CCE are to:
- Assign patient records to Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Groups (MS-DRGs) and/or Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs)
- Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of clinical data
- Identify potential coding errors
- Verify provider claims for reimbursement
3M CCE is available in two versions for either interactive or batch processing using IBM® z/OS® mainframes. The interactive version of 3M CCE can be customized in several ways; for example, you can use a code mapping facility that allows ICD-9-CM codes from one year to be used with a grouper from another year. A large number of payment types are available in the software, representing not only mandated MS-DRG or DRG reimbursement methods and state initiatives, but also “generic” payment types that are not based on DRG assignment.
