CCHIT-certified products from 3M

Foundational criteria for meaningful use

As hospitals evaluate how to qualify for ARRA funding, 3M offers several software modules that meet the foundational Security and Privacy criteria required to demonstrate meaningful use. Two modules meet the criteria for 306 (e) – Electronic Copy of Discharge Instructions.

The following 3M software modules are 2011/2012 compliant and have been certified as EHR modules by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services:

ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

Support Stage 1 meaningful use measures

All certified 3M products listed above meet the foundational Security and Privacy criteria 170.302 o-v. Additionally, 3M Electronic Signature Authentication Software (with 3M ChartView Software), Version 5, and 3M ChartRelease Software, Version 7, meet the criteria for 3.6 (e) – Electronic Copy of Discharge Instructions.

The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Flexibility of Microsoft® Windows® products

Several of the certified 3M products are available on Platform 7, Feature Pack 2, the latest generation of 3M’s unified services platform. These include the 3M ChartRelease Software (Version 7), 3M Electronic Signature Authentication Software (Version 5), 3M ChartScan Software (Version 3), 3M ChartFact Software (Version 14), 3M Patient Financial Services Document Management Software (Version 5), 3M VoiceScript Software (Version 10), 3M ChartScript Software (Version 10), and 3M ChartScriptMD Software (Version 10).

Platform 7, Feature Pack 2, supports greater flexibility enabled by the latest Microsoft SQL Server and other Microsoft Windows products.
