Partnering with 3M

The 3M Alliance Partner Program provides you and your clients with valuable 3M applications and content. Though the program does not create a legal partnership between 3M and any person or organization, it can help generate additional revenue for your organization.

Interested organizations should review the options below and note that all require a $50,000 minimum in volume to be considered. If interested, please click on one of the partnership types and complete the subsequent form to provide us with pertinent information. Once you submit the form, a 3M Business Partner representative will review your information and contact you for further discussion.

Opportunities for partners

Value-added reseller partners

The additional value comes to entities that play an active role in the promotion of 3M Health Information Systems products or services, typically by incorporating 3M's content into their own unique solution. Qualified partners will be required to generate a minimum volume of sales in this arrangement.

Data processing partners

Entities that use 3M Health Information Systems products within their applications to further analyze data, creating separate products or services for their clients, are data processing partners. For example, our partners use the 3M™ All Patient Refined DRG (APR DRG) Software to severity adjust data within their applications..

Consulting partners

Entities that use 3M Health Information Systems products or services to deliver independent analysis or advice to clients are consulting partners. For example, consulting partners use 3M software to perform coding audits or for ICD-10 education.

Distribution partners

Entities that resell 3M Health Information Systems products or services in specific market areas to expand 3M's presence are distribution partners. Qualified partners will be required to generate a minimum volume of sales in this arrangement.

Interfaced solution providers

Interfacing with vendors in the healthcare industry is an important factor to create great workflows for our joint clients. 3M maintains a strong focus on protecting our intellectual property and, in some instances, these two efforts may conflict. Our vendor interface program, however, is designed to make the process as easy as possible for the client, vendor partner and 3M. To be considered as an interface solution provider, it is important to be prepared to discuss what 3M systems you would like to interface from or to, the data that would be exchanged, and how that information would be used in your system.
