---3M Guin was named a Voluntary Protection Program STAR site, OSHA’s highest honor for industrial safety performance
---We are the 8th plant in 3M and one of only 30 industrial sites in Alabama to achieve this award
Government officials visit
---Gov. Bob Riley visited 3M Guin to meet employees and tour the plant
---He was especially interested in our pavement marking products for use in the state of Alabama and was amazed at our glass bubbles product characteristics
---Senator Jeff Sessions and Congressman Robert Aderholt also visited 3M Guin; all were very complimentary of our people and our facility
