Reduce UV Light and Acid Dew Damage Using Warranted Overlaminate

"It raises the bar for durability, even on horizontal surfaces," said Jack Custeau, owner of Custeau Signs/Custom Auto Wrapping, Lemon Grove, Calif. "It's the first and only solution for the spotting and discoloration we see here … and with a new 3M warranty, it's a no-brainer for clients to upgrade."

Custeau is referring to 3M™ Scotchcal™ Gloss Overlaminate 8528 — an overlaminate designed to beat the elements. Over time, UV light and acid dew can cause discoloration and spotting, especially in warmer climates. Overlaminate 8528 can help keep vehicle wraps looking glossy and new. It reduces the harmful effects of UV light and acid dew on the film, helping ensure that wraps last longer and look better.

Overlaminate 8528 is recommended for these premium graphic films: 3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film IJ180, 3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film with Comply™ v3 Adhesive IJ180Cv3, 3M™ Scotchcal™ Graphic Film with Comply™ v3 Adhesive IJ170Cv3, 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Graphic Film IJ680, and 3M™ Scotchlite™ Removable Reflective Graphic Film with Comply™ Adhesive IJ680CR.

This overlaminate adheres to the print media and ink with the same reliable tenacity as other 3M overlaminates and is just as stretchable and conformable – critical factors in a vehicle wrap's application.

It also provides excellent gloss and clarity of reflection, giving a "wet paint" look. And it is warranted by 3M when used with recommended 3M graphic films, printers and inks – including its performance on horizontal surfaces, offering your customers peace of mind. (Refer to the Product Bulletin for the 3M base film you are using for complete warranty details.)
