Contest Winner: Rough Wall Wrap
This wrap is one for the books‚ quite literally. Out of many high quality entries‚ this creative wrap idea captured the grand prize in 3M’s “Wrap a Rough Wall to Win” Contest.
Jerry Cooper‚ owner of TPM in Greenville‚ SC was greeted by cameras and cheers as 3M announced that his company has won the 3M Graphics Market Center’s “Wrap a Rough Wall to Win” Contest. Cooper was presented with a gift card for $10‚000 for a home theater system.
TPM’s winning design – applied to a fountain surround in downtown Greenville – was created by The Bounce Agency to promote the Greenville Literacy Association (GLA)‚ a community-based adult literacy program. The unique and unexpected graphics created a “wow factor” and helped build awareness for GLA’s annual book fair. (3M also awarded GLA a gift card worth $2‚000.)
The winning wrap was selected by a panel of judges from the Society for Environmental Graphic Design and the Small Business Administration. Judging criteria included the aesthetic appeal of the wrap‚ use of space and professionalism of installation‚ as well as the impact or expected impact of the wrap for the end user/brand owner.
The winning wrap by TPM. To be considered for the contest‚ a wrap needed to incorporate one or both of these 3M products: 3M™ Scotchcal™ Graphic Film for Textured Surfaces IJ8624; 3M™ Scotchcal™ Luster Overlaminate 8524.
