The abator takes ethylene oxide (EO) gas exhausted from 3M™ Steri-Vac™ Sterilizers and Aerators, converting it to CO2 and water vapor. At normal operating temperatures and concentrations, removal efficiency is 99.9+%.

The 3M™ EO Abator Model 50 is an EO emission control system for 3M Steri-Vac Sterilizers.

A highly effective device for removing ethylene oxide (EO) from an airstream exhausted from 3M™ Steri-Vac™ EO Gas Sterilizer/Aerators. The EO Abator converts EO into carbon dioxide and water vapor through a heated catalytic process. The system includes an enclosed catalyst bed, air heater, fan and all controls necessary for complete operation.
