3M™ Petrifilm™ Yeast and Mold Count Plates

The 3M Petrifilm Yeast and Mold Count Plate is a sample-ready culture medium system which contains nutrients supplemented with antibiotics, a cold-water-soluble gelling agent, and an indicator to provide contrast and facilitate enumeration.

Use Petrifilm Yeast and Mold Count Plates for yeast and mold population determination in three to five days. An indicator dye stains yeast and mold colonies to provide contrast and facilitate counting. Yeast are typically small, raised, blue-green colonies, with defined edges. Molds are often larger, variably colored, flat colonies with diffuse edges and central foci.
