3M™ Comply™ Label System

3M™ Comply™ 1256B Printing Applicator with 1269 and 1257 Sterilization Load Label System consists of a printing applicator that applies sterilization load labels to packages for identification and recall purposes. One set of load labels come printed with "expires" (1257 series). Another set of load labels comes printed with "sterilized" and the statement "sterile unless the package is opened or damaged" (1269 series).

Record keeping envelopes and record sheets or charts are used to record information about the sterilization process. Load labels are placed on individual packages to identify which sterilizer, load and day packages were processed and the time or event that identifies when not to use the package. Load labels are placed on the envelopes and adhesive-style record forms or charts as part of record keeping. Record keeping documents the materials that have been processed and their monitoring control evidence and facilitates recall in case of a sterilization process failure.
