Unlike traditional nonwoven materials, they provide multi-directional stretch as well as mechanical strength in all directions. At the same time, they maintain the positive attributes of traditional nonwoven materials, such as breathability and high transmission of moisture vapor and oxygen. CoTran Nonwoven Backings are both elastic and flexible. This makes them ideal for large transdermal and topical patches, such as those for highly-flexible body areas like joints, where good wear and recovery properties are required.
