Q: How is 3M™ Micro Milling Media ZGC different from Yttria stabilized beads?
A: There is a compositional difference between the 3M micro milling media and Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2, but there is no difference in terms of performance. However, using the 3M micro milling media can be significantly more cost efficient.

Q: What are the benefits of 3M™ Micro Milling Media?
A: Being able to achieve high milling efficiency at a fraction of the cost of similar micro milling media makes it much more cost efficient. Additional information is available on the product information sheet.

Q: Which size milling media should I buy?
A: You can choose from 3 particle size options: 50, 75 and 100 microns. The best size for your application will depend on the equipment that you will be using, the specific details of your process and materials, and your evaluation of the product in your application.

Q: Does 3M sell smaller or larger sized milling media?
A: As part of our standard offerings, we sell only 50, 75 and 100 micron diameter milling media. However, we do have the capacity of producing a milling size as small as 30 microns. Please contact us if you are interested in getting a smaller particle size.
