Film Liner: Enabling Design Freedom without Compromising Functionality

3M™ Bumpon™ Protective Products may be easy to overlook, but that’s okay with us. In fact, that’s exactly what we had in mind when we recently announced a film liner change. We’ve advanced our liner adhesive technology to reduce potential side-effects from exposure to various environments such as high humidity in order to create a more consistent, reliable solution for self adhesive rubber bumper applications. Now, with our new film liner the improved resistance to humidity lessens the tendency to warp or wrinkle for more resilient rubber rollstock products that lay flatter and have overall better handling properties. The matte clear silicone coated PET that makes up the liner is thicker which makes for easier converting and better manufacturing of custom shapes.
To us, it’s the little things that matter most.
