3M™ Electronic Monitoring offers both remote and onsite hosting of monitoring data. Both hosting options offer advantages to government agencies and resellers while also providing high levels of redundancy and security. Whether onsite or remote, both hosting options allow agencies to independently monitor their caseload or use remote monitoring services provided by 3M Electronic Monitoring as part of the applicable service package.
Onsite hosting allows agencies to host their information on their own local server, configured to the specific security and operational requirements of the agency, allowing greater control and direct access to the monitored caseload. The server is provided by 3M Electronic Monitoring with hardware, software, installation, maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimum performance. Onsite hosted servers are located per customer demands to help provide data security and redundancy.
Remote Hosting Solutions
3M Electronic Monitoring Remote Hosting Solutions provide the benefit of multiple, off-site data facilities to help keep your data safe and secure, at state-of-the-art facilities.
The Surveillance Data Center (SDC) is where offender data (locations, rules, violations) is downloaded, housed, and stored. The system provides 100% geographically remote redundancy to address downtime due to hardware, software, communication or weather issues.
Our servers are located today at different facilities in Odessa (FL) and Aurora (IL) with backup sites in Sarasota and Jacksonville (FL). These facilities feature local redundancy through duplication of servers as well as geographically remote redundancy for systems security. For power interruption protection, we deployed a UPS and back-up generator capable of supplying 150% of the power required to operate our facilities at full capability.
